Description
One of the most important historical collections of the Natural History Museum of Florence is undoubtedly that of Camillo Rondani (1808-1879). His collection is of enormous scientific value, since it includes the type specimens from which he named new species. The collection was purchased by the Museum in 1880. It is stored in the original wooden boxes and is kept separate from the general collection.
