Description
James Petiver (1658-1718), a British botanist, pharmacist, and entomologist, had fruitful contacts with Pier Antonio Micheli (1679-1737), exchanging ideas and specimens. This is witnessed by this bound volume, which includes only Poaceae specimens from England and Asia; it was sent to Micheli and entered the collections of the Natural History Museum of Florence through the heirs of the Targioni Tozzetti family.
