Description
The collection includes a series of over 1600 skulls (approx. 480 species) and 1900 breastbones (approx. 570 species) representing almost all the Italian bird species, which were carefully prepared and studied by a Pisan taxidermist, Gino Caiani, in the late nineteenth-early twentieth century.
