Description: Th CNR-ISPA-ITEM collection preserve about 8,000 strains public at http://www.ispa.cnr.it/Collection; and a total of 13,600 strains (public and private). The strains are mainly isolated from the Mediterranean agro-food systems, including various microorganisms (fungi, yeasts and bacteria) of noteworthy pathological, toxicological and agro-food importance, such us Aspergillus, Alternaria, Beauveria, Fusarium, Penicillium, Trichoderma, Saccharomyces, Hanseniaspora, Lactobacillus, Oenococcus, Staphylococcus. Long-term cryopreservation: ultrafrezeer at -150 °C, in cryovials with spore suspension in water glycerol (10% v/V) or with mycelium grown on Agricultural-grade perlite; fresh cultures: refrigerator at 4°C in plastic tubes with spore suspension or mycelium agar plug in sterile water. CNR-ISPA-ITEM is partner of the MIRRI ERIC Italian Node (http://www.mirri-it.it) and partner in the Horizon project IS-MIRRI21 (https://ismirri21.mirri.org/).
