The samples of Ulva (Chlorophyta) were collected during different seasons, between 2015 and 2019, from the intertidal to shallow subtidal from 24 sampling stations of the Lagoon of Venice (Italy), including LTER-Italy sites. Study Extent: Samples were collected during different seasons, between 2015 and 2019, from differents habitats of the Lagoon of Venice.
Sampling: All samples were manually collected by rake.
Method Steps: All samples collected were pressed in herbarium sheets, vouchered, and deposited in the Herbarium of the Institute of Marine Sciences of Venice (ISMAR, https://www.archiviostudiadriatici.it/index.php/it/). For each voucher, two subsamples were prepared: one dried in silica gel for molecular analysis, and a second preserved in 4% formalin in seawater for morphological studies. For taxonomic identification, the DNA barcoding tool was applied according to the protocol reported in Armeli Minicante et al. (2024).
