Updated Aug 2016 (important collections, specialties updated). The herbarium includes the algal historical collection of M. Minio and N. Spada, containing more than a thousand samples of Gracilaria, collected between 1942 and 1950 in the Venice lagoon. Also, the collection includes a miscellaneous section, containing members of different algal taxa, such Ulvales, Ceramiales and Bangiales. The herbarium is expanding on algae and seagrasses from the Venice Lagoon and the Adriatic Sea.
