Description
The CNR-IPSP-CMC collection preserve about 4300 clones, 11000 seed plants, F1, F2 and backcrosses on 14 ha of fields located in Tuscany, Umbria and Campania. Trees are derived from seed collected in their native range all over the world, clones were derived from grafting of valuable genotypes. More than 100,000 accessions are registered in the collection. Trees are currently aged from 2 to 25 years old. The main aim of the collection is to study the cypress resistance to canker disease (Seiridium (=Corineum) cardinale).
